Drew Veysey

About

Drew Veysey is a Senior Associate with the Analysis team at RMI’s US Program, where he supports state-level efforts to implement climate-aligned policies and drive the transition to a sustainable economy. Through in-depth technical analysis, Drew helps shape strategies that accelerate the decarbonization of key sectors, particularly in transportation and energy.

Before joining RMI, Drew spent six years at the Georgetown Climate Center, focusing on the Transportation and Climate Initiative (TCI), state-level climate policy, and federal climate strategy. He played a key role in coordinating technical analysis for TCI, collaborating with state governments, contractors, and partners to design and implement carbon pricing and clean transportation investment policies. Drew also contributed to the development of state-level guidance on these policies and authored the influential paper Reducing Transportation Emissions in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic: Fuel System Considerations, which provided insights for designing transportation decarbonization programs.

Earlier in his career, Drew worked at Futurepast Inc., where he specialized in greenhouse gas inventory verification, carbon accounting, sustainability standards, and the development of sustainable aviation fuel.
